Nominations Open | Grassland to Classroom Initiative

Himalayan Pastoral Trust (HPT) invites nominations for the Best Seasonal Mobile School Teacher Award 2026, under its Grassland to Classroom initiative.

The award celebrates and recognises the dedication, commitment, and contribution of seasonal mobile school teachers who work with children from pastoral communities. These teachers play an important role in ensuring continuity of education as pastoral families move seasonally with their livestock across different grazing landscapes.

Working in temporary learning spaces and adapting to changing environments, seasonal mobile school teachers often go beyond conventional classrooms to support children’s learning and education in pastoral landscapes.

Who Can Apply?

Seasonal mobile school teachers are invited to apply for the award.

You can also nominate a teacher by sharing:

• Teacher’s name
• Name of the school or pasture
• A short note explaining why you would like to nominate them

Nominations can be submitted through the Google Form, link in the blow
